Alicia Adamson, LPC, CPCS

Alicia Adamson, LPC, CPCS is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 25 years of experience providing mental health services in outpatient, school-based, and community settings. Clinical competencies include behavioral health and trauma-focused assessments, CCFA, service plan development, crisis intervention, care coordination, and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and families.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wesleyan College and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. She has provided services throughout the Metro Atlanta area through her private practice, delivering psychotherapy, crisis stabilization, and clinical consultation through contractual partnerships with agencies and organizations.

As a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, she provides clinical supervision and professional development to clinicians, with an emphasis on ethical practice, regulatory compliance, treatment planning, and measurable outcomes.

In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Adamson is actively involved in volunteerism and community-based mental health initiatives. She is also a children’s book author and co-creator of The Adamson Crew Family Chronicles; a children’s book series focused on social-emotional learning and childhood development. The series has been featured in Enjoy Cherokee Magazine, Cherokee Tribune, VoyageATL, Shoutout Atlanta, and Token Magazine.

Alicia is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of G.E.M.S of Society (Gracefully Empowering My Sisters), a nonprofit organization focused on prevention, psychoeducation, and community-based support for young girls and adolescents.
